The St. Francis of Assisi Parish Pastoral Council is a group of fifteen members who form one body with the Pastor in fulfilling the church’s ministry and serving the needs of the parish community. In all of its endeavors, the Parish Pastoral Council is guided by our parish mission statement: “In the spirit of St. Francis, to know Jesus and make Him known.”
The Council is composed of the Pastor, a Chairperson, the seven heads of parish ministry, four at-large members, and two Parish Trustees. At-large members serve two-year terms; an at-large member may serve one additional two-year term. Member-at-large officer positions include:
Chairperson
Secretary
Volunteer Liaison
Fundraising Liaison
CCD Liaison
Preschool Liaison
The Council meets monthly, or more often if needed. Ministry coordinators and other persons supporting parish activities may be invited to attend designated Council meetings. The Council is supervised by the Pastor, who provides direction to its efforts and assists the Council in discerning and exploring its agenda.
