Worship Ministry

Community Outreach

The Community Outreach ministry extends assistance to parishioners and neighbors in need while addressing contemporary social issues. Education Ministry

This ministry is concerned with enriching the spiritual life of parishioners through programs specifically tailored to their various needs, and preparing our children for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Communications Ministry

The ministry assists the pastor and the other parish ministries in furthering a sense of community and spreading the spirit of St. Francis via our parish-wide electronic and print messages. On-going projects include maintaining the parish web site, parish mailings, maintenance of the parish directory, and preparation of materials as requested by the pastor. Parish Finance Advisory Board

The Parish Finance Board is a group of parishioners who offer their expertise and advice to the pastor on a wide range of financial issues. Their objectives are:  to support the Pastor to safeguard the assets of the parish; oversee the preparation of budgets for approval; monitor the financial performance and effectiveness of offertory collections and other fund-raising activities; develop plans for the financing of repairs and renovations of property and purchase of equipment, as needed; oversee implementation of all Diocesan policies on financial matters; monitor procedures and controls to ensure that all requirements of federal and state tax laws are met and accurate records are maintained. Parish Council

The St. Francis of Assisi Parish Pastoral Council is a group of fifteen members who form one body with the Pastor in fulfilling the church’s ministry and serving the needs of the parish community. In all of its endeavors, the Parish Pastoral Council is guided by our parish mission statement: “In the spirit of St. Francis, to know Jesus and make Him known.”

The Council is composed of the Pastor, a Chairperson, the seven heads of parish ministry, four at-large members, and two Parish Trustees. At-large members serve two-year terms; an at-large member may serve one additional two-year term.  Member-at-large officer positions include:

  1. Chairperson
  2. Secretary
  3. Volunteer Liaison
  4. Fundraising Liaison
  5. Parish Events Liaison
  6. Preschool Liaison

The Council meets monthly, or more often if needed. Ministry coordinators and other persons supporting parish activities may be invited to attend designated Council meetings.  The Council is supervised by the Pastor, who provides direction to its efforts and assists the Council in discerning and exploring its agenda.  Chairperson: Christian Eidt,
